Wonderful stay! Peter was very responsive for any issues. The room was spotless and the decor is super charming. It’s a perfect haven away when your done exploring NYC for the day. Great location right next to the subway, super easy to get around. Loved it!
This was exactly what we were looking for: a unique, comfortable, and quiet place to stay in Manhattan. The property is stunning and easily accessible via transit. The neighborhood is residential, historic, and walkable with great restaurants. It was so much better than staying in a sterile, stuffy hotel room. I would stay here again for sure.
We enjoyed our stay at the Mt Morris House which is great value for the money. We stayed on the top floor in a two bedroom suite. The place was decorated thoughtfully and with personal touches and cookies and chocolates are on offer daily. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are nearby as are subway stations. You're never more than a ~20 minute subway to just about anywhere in NYC. Mt Morris House is a walk-up with no elevator so it wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues. Finally, Peter is an absolute gem ... kind and responsive.
Great location, beautiful property. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Easy walk to the subway and easy Uber ride to the train to get us upstate. I am looking forward to having a reason to stay here again.
My husband and I needed a place to stay when he was up for a medical procedure at a nearby hospital. Mount Morris House was conveniently located near the hospital so we decided to try it out. The location was perfect and I was able to walk to restaurants, grocery stores and pharmacies nearby and buy any necessities. We especially enjoyed seeing our names waiting for us in the foyer when we arrived ( our last name was typed in our native Greek characters). The room was spacious, the bed extremely comfortable and the bathroom had both an old fashioned claw tub and a modern rain shower stall. We felt very welcomed and needless to say we will definitely stay here again when we next visit NYC.
These lovely suites are in a beautiful brownstone right near Marcus Garvey Park. Our host was very responsive if you have a question and the communication was excellent. (Rooms would not be "accessible.") The suite was clean and neat and there were plenty of towels and the bathroom was completely updated. There are lots of hangers, storage space, and towels. There are also reuseable water bottles, candy and homemade cookies in the entryway. You can walk to some great restaurants and a grocery stores are just a few blocks away. It's also pretty quiet so you aren't hearing all the city noise and sirens all the time. The subway is a few blocks away so you can get anywhere in the city. I would definitely stay at Mount Morris House when I return to NYC!
